I use a JVC El Kameleon headunit and it's AUX imput. From my experience, I've found that the FM transmitters work like crap. Using a line-level imput is the way to go.

I managed to hack into the back of the OEM radio and install RCA jacks to the tape input. You need to install 2 jumpers, 1 diode, 1 capacitor, and 2 resistors. I'm working on a site to show photos of this and other mods but it is taking a while to get the photos resized and highlighted and the descriptions written up.

"wireless fm broadcaster and the cassette adapter"
I find the wireless does not work at all and the casette, I ear the casette turning and it is too much work to put it in. It is why I had chosen the 'plug in' FM transmitter.

"managed to hack into the back of the OEM radio"
Please do post that somewhere. I tried to put an aux in but was not able to. Tell me if I could help about putting info on a site.

SilverBullet, have you tried turning the volume of the iPod down and the volume of the Honda headunit up when using the cassett adapter? You might be overloading the cassett player's power handling.

Yeah thats what i have to do, its just the cassette sound its not a overload it just sounds like a cassette, i will have another head unit, i will just keep soldiering on until then!

It just seems so wrong , Ipod in aluminum matching case, gps, laptop, wifi, great hi tech car, and then a cassette!!

Everybody gets in it and is like WOW neat car, then the cassette comes in to play!! Then they want to hear the ipod!!

I just don't want to buy the input when i will get another head unit soon!!!

Default Just saw this while browsing ipodhacks.com

http://www.alpine-usa.com/products/lead ... a-420i.htm

Its the Alpine ipod auto dock thingy. It lets you control your ipod from a compatable (Alpine) head unit.

Things are looking up for me...
