Box Swap

As posted elsewhere I am preping a manual Insight for tarmac stage rallies. The manual car has much taller gearing than ideal, and our regs allow us to change the box or the ratios for another from the same manufacturer.
Anyone know if the Insight box is interchangeable with any other Honda unit say from a Jazz or Civic?

I've never heard of anyone swapping the Insight transmission.
It would be so sweet if the first 4 gears were shorter and closer together :twisted:
I suppose custom made gears are not allowed?

Far as I know the Insight trans is a custom fit for the Insight. You'd probalby have to have some new innards custom made.

looks like CVT might yet be the way to go, as a custom box is not allowed
