MPG Readings Not Adjusting

I'm curious if any member has experienced this:
My 5-speed Insight has 55 thousand miles. The LMPG reading has remained at 70.2 MPG for the past 6 tankfulls of gas for the past 2 1/2 months, from which I've averaged between 74-78 MPG per tank. The LMPG, plus all the other trip readouts haven't changed at all. What could possibly be the problem here?
