Honda Jazz Hybrid -Michelin tyres

The Jazz Hybrid is now on sale.

Tyres are Michelin 175/65 R15 Michelin Energy LRR according to spec sheet.

Honda vehicles usually leave the factory with Bridgestone or Bridgestone owned tyres e.g Dunlop.

In an agreement dating back about 50 years, Bridgestone ceased manufacture of motorcycles in exchange for OEM right to supply Honda with tyres, perhaps this is evidence that the Michelin tyre betters the Bridgestone offerings for LRR and fuel efficiency.

I wonder if it is a special tire designed specifically for that car like the Insight-I-sized Bridgestone RE92 Potenza apparently is?

My Odyssey minivan came with Michelin Energy MXV, which only lasted 27K miles despite dealer prescribed service/rotations. Michelin gave me 25% off a replacement set, which lasted about the same. No more Michelins for me, mostly due to poor customer service.

Hopefully the LRR version will last much longer in the small car, but I still prefer Bridgestones, Dunlops and Goodyears.

Do you know the base price of the hybrid vs the base Jazz? Is it availabe with MT? Is the IMA system the same as the Civic or Insight?
