I'm out of 010 BCMs. The only one I had was damaged (read: dismantled so that we could use the connectors to build test equipment). I recommended he try to swap with AbCaRed00.
A few months ago, nobody wanted 010 BCMs at all, so when we had to scrap one, we chose them.

A BCM from Canada wouldn't work?

Crossing threads a bit. It was in another concurrent thread today.
It may be the California CARB testing would prohibit a non-California specific module [51 States/Cda] perhaps on account of periodic or spot emissions testing???
Thanks for the reply.
I looked for your thread and couldn't find it.
I think I had the 010 BCM, but not 100% sure, before Honda replaced my batteries a few months back. Whatever I have now, and I haven't opened it to actually look, is working very hard to keep the car out of lean burn.
Ron at HBR told me this AM to look for you to do a possible swap, but I couldn't find the thread.
The bad sentence structure is what happens when I'm late for work, but trying to type at the same time.
Just made the first run with the 010 BCM/030 MCM combo. It was 29F and wind was SW@ 5 mph and the trip was 5.1 miles to the north then turned around and came back. 105.3 out and 87.1 back. Those numbers are comparable to much warmer summer temps. Sounds like I may have to keep these. Now, what to do with the ones I took out?
I noticed some other differences with the 010 BCM. When I do the SoC reset with the OBDII C&C gauge, it now only goes up to 19 bars and 75%; the ones I took out would go to 20 bars and 81%. It should be interesting to see results of tomorrow morning's trip to my wife's work and back.

Funny how that works. The only way to guarantee your going to need an old part in a couple weeks is to throw it away Happens to me all the time lol

Very cool!! You have me excited for summer. I've only started driving like this in the last couple months and it's been "cold". Can't wait to see what I can do on a warm/hot day

As much as I hate CARB, that should never happen. Insight's are 100% Smog exempt in California. Don't even need a smog check when buying/selling. That's why the racer boys love putting K20s in them.

I've run on Laguna a couple times, and I can agree 110% with your comment. It's a hell of a track to race on! The corkscrew is epic

That's why I haven't stripped the Insight that I can't find the title for. The moment I do, I'll find it...
Can't you order a new duplicate title from the state DMV? (assuming you know which state it is )
That's be a horrible reason to strip a car down

I bought the car and can't find the old owner's title or my receipt. Technically it is still hers. The only way to get a new title is to issue a mechanics' lien against storage fees. That's a couple hundred dollars.
It's a blue 2002 CVT that needs a new camshaft position sensor or has a harness problem - and a battery of course.
