Default Replacing a CVT with an MT

Is this something that is at all feasible? Would you also have to make
major modifications such as replace a portion of the engine as well?

It's more cost affective to sell your CVT and buy a Manual transmission Insight. The cost of buying all the parts new or used and the labour would bring the project into the thousands of dollars.

Is this a Civic or an Insight we're talking about here?

Either way, doable? yes. Worth your time and effort? No.
