Default Beat Car Magasine showing the CR-Z vs FT-86

I just picked up my latest copy of Best Car Magasine (a Japanese car magasine). It shows a nice comparison of the CR-Z and the CR-Z fighter from Toyota, the FT-86. The only shadow on the board (shadow for who, it depends on which side you are..) is the FT-86 is not an hybrid.. at the moment!!

Note, the article says there is no official information released for the CR-Z engine power, but expect 180 to 200ps.

Picture comparison attached, along with a small interior picture.

Also, they disclosed expected Japanese MPG numbers for the CR-Z : 28Km/l. This not the EPA test. It's the Japanese version of it. The Insight 2010 has a 30km/l score.

CR-Z starting price announced (rumored...?) : 2.5 Millions yens, currently about 22,500 US$ with the exchange rate at 0.9/$. Should be a bit higher due to the shipping, tax, and all other stuff.

Sorry for the picture quality, I scanned the magasine...

Thanks for the heads up. No idea why they are not showing.. here is it uploaded on url.

(note, I realized I also have a mistyping in the post title. No big deal, but magazine is Best Car. not Beat Car... Couldn't find a way to edit the title...)

Wonder whats Hondas reasoning behind this? Seems toyota is working on a car to go against the smart, the iq. Last I visited the Honda dealer the only sub ultra mini compact they had was the fit. They have made some real econo boxes before. Guess they need a sporty 2 seater with better fuel economy than whats already out there?

Actually, I like the MotorTrend, Road and Track, and Car and Driver are the three main ones. There are many others. But if you want to research and read about testings/driving experience/specs of new cars. These three will do it. My preference is MotorTrend, R&T and C&D.

Thanks for the info, I found a website for FT-86 and it looks great,
seems will be a huge success one day, hre is the link: New Toyota FT-86 concept pics (non-press photos and closeups). You'll love these. - Toyota FR-S Forum / FT-86 Forum and Subaru 216a Forum | ft86club

but for me the insight 1 is the best ... not planning to change it .
