Black Tape Over Badge

[NEUTERED CIVIC HYBRID]

My Civic Hybrid has 85,000 trouble free miles. I was averaging 46MPG on my commute for three years. Got the recall notice that said the fix should be done by 2013. Figured I'd hold off 'cause my car is just fine. Took it in for oil change and the dealer performed the recall "fix" without asking. Now I average 39MPG! Dealer said they realize it's a problem. Said write to Honda of America but they won't care. No more electric assist on grades. Now I drive a 93HP car. Not what I paid for. So, you know how cops put black tape on their badges when one of them dies? Well, my hybrid is dead to me. I put black tape over the "HYBRID" badge on the back of my car. RIP. If there is a class action suit I'm in!! I paid a premium for the hybrid to save gas as I have a long commute. Now I get almost the same MPG as a plain Civic. Oh and I only have 93HP too. I now know I should have gone with the Prius. If you have the same experience, join me. Put black tape over your "HYBRID" badge. If you haven't gone in for the fix yet DON'T!!!!!

Id register a complaint with the BBB and put in the actions you want your car restored to its previous programming as you only authorized an oil change and you will withdraw your compliant.

You may have a case if in fact you only signed for that and they did the "upgrade".
