Default Reusing a prius pack?

Since I have the Enginer PHEV kit I ordered a hobby charger for all cells that can charge, discharge and handle all types. I understand this is key to refurbishing all battery packs?

I have a couple of projects I would like to tackle, unless anyone has beat me too it and I can paypal them the funds and get it in the mail.

I want to switch out my 12 volt battery in my car to a home made one from prius packs.

I want to make a pack to use with an inverter to supplement the power of the Enginer pack. I am rold it can be charged while driving and the charger draws 1000 watts. Id love to be able to bring this pack inside to charge it.

Is it correct if I use a multiple of 12 I can use a lead acid charger to keep the pack full? I think Mike D2K uses them for his automobiles, tractors and anything else with no problem. I think use like that would be more efficient as the IMA pulses the battery vs give it a continious charger like most vehicles do. Then I want a pack to charge/extend the range of my PHEV kit.

Thanks for the insight.
