My 2004 HCH seems to run the fan after shutoff most of the time.

Well, got home today and it was 60... radiator fan pops on the instant I shut it off, so I tried turning the ignition to "on" then back off.

No go.

Tried turning it to start up the engine for 1 second, then back off, and it didn't come back on. But that's WAY kludgy.

WTF Honda?

I guess Honda has the "fan sensor" located in the exact "hotest" part of the cooling tract.
By trying to start the engine, even for a sec or so the hotest coolant is moved past the sensor that controls the fan.
(Talk about being exact)
My opinion.
