I like the longer gaps... it seems like I have a hard time seeing the flashes when they get too close together anyway... although I guess seeing it will really be the only way to tell, I'll flash tonight, computer's cooperation assumed.

Got the unit today. Wired it up as per the video instructions.

Yellow wire with Blue stripe was wired to RED in C&C unit.
Brown wire with Yellow stripe was wired to BLACK in C&C unit.

The Yellow wire with red stripe wire was cut:
the white wire connected to the bit going to the plug.
the green wire connected to the other end of the cut wire.

I have the engine management light, IMA light on.

When accelerator pedal is pressed the battery light came on as well!

The C&C unit is dead. Button presses don't do anything.

The C&C unit has something inside that is rattling.

Really stumped as what to do next.

Something inside rattling? I would definitely open it up and take a look at what's loose in there and that all the connections are secure. If everything looks fine, I'd try swapping the white and green wires... I initially made my connection backwards on accident when I got mine built.

Only other problem I can think of would be a bad PIC flash, do you have a programmer?

Thanks Sam. I got it built with a wire attached. . To me its like a black box now.

Also once the unit starts working, will the IMA light go away or do I have to reset it using a OBD2 code clearing unit?

Another noob question: If the connections were right, would the C&C unit dsiplay anything one the LED when switched on ?

Also when I crank the car, it sounds different but once started it is fine.

Never had the engine mgmt light or IMA light before.

Open the box and find out what is rattling.

You have the green and white wire the wrong way round reverse them.

The buttons on the IMAC&C and the led won't do anything when you first fire it up and are sat with engine running until you either

1) Disable the autocancel function (see instructions)

or

2) Start driving at more than 10-15mph

let me know how you get on.

To clear the IMA light you will have to pull the neg lead on the 12v battery under the bonnet for 30 seconds. This will force an IMA reset.

Yeah. the primary codes it throws will clear on their own, and the IMA light will go off but the check engine light will stay on till you reset by pulling the ground cable.

It leaves behind a P1600 code that basically means "There was some kind of problem at some point, I promise." I guess it's so the service techs know you're not just making things up when you come in with an intermittant problem?

Don't be nervous about opening the box, there are only the same 4 connections you already made under the dash inside there.

Well, mine has arrived this morning, it's wonderful, thank for making it's possible Pete, I was testing it today, but only got it bug free about 4 pm. Both side were unconsistance, more so the assist, it's was about cutting new cable ends, first the fuzzy (usb) was getting in the way,so burned it, but made it worse, starting over and keeping the fuzzy in the center got it consistence.
Assist seem to be strong, more testing needed
on the Regen side, I love how you can charge at 4 bars at low speed, I can just go over a speed bump w/out the auto stop kicking it off.
Perfect tuning.and it's barely no drag at all at higher speed too. (4 bars don't heat up the pack,)
I Found out You can still use neutral coasting while using this 25% Regen. The idle drops very low about 500rpm then comes back up to 600 rpm, If Iam wrong correct me. I see no damage doing this a lot, and if the stall out, no damage as it's in neutral and coasting, I could decelerate using 1 cin., but you can coast Farther and while charging the pack too. not decelerating, lot of goodies to try out, I have to get the box mounted properly tomorrow,
So anybody lurking out there? go for it, you be glad you did feel like a new car again to drive.

Users should try and keep the connecting wires as short as practical to avoid interference.

Mine is now wired up and working a treat. Thanks Peter & Sam for the tips.

I am still going through the options. I do see a small increase in mpg and a much more healthy increase in battery SOC.
