Going to order my LED and making my selection, I know being smal black on green might be hard to see changing while driving,and want the option of keeping the led low next to my Gage, so I want a better color that pops, would this LED white on black work? Seem similar but by eagle. Karlsson Robotics - Serial Enabled 16x2 LCD - White on Black 5V or the yellow on blue 9 from the bottom work also? Karlsson Robotics - Serial Enabled 20x4 LCD - Black on Green 5V

Hi Aqua, Peter already replied to a question like this from Samwichse, a few posts back, he will only be supporting the Spark fun Serial LCD due to the minor differences between manufacturers.

Taught sam wanted to go larger LED, then it would be a diffrents software, And pete using what in his parts bin, not sure but it's the same spec as I see, and firmware just diffrents brand and color. probably license out, Pete did say or similiar specs, he could point one out but they are hard to find.

Sparkfun 20x4 serial enabled only at the moment.

I won't be adding code to support other devices, but if the ones you are looking at use exactly the same control codes etc then feel free to try one.

Ok,yes found and got a yellow on blue LED order on it's way. Same priced as the above and checking on the files stats, it's also eagles, so they are the same company only this one say spark fun and the stats are in the same layout.now guarantee to work. This last update I also notice a mpg improvements ,car crispier off the line. Low end power which I use to pick up speed and coast is enchanted

I am consistently getting better fuel consumption with version 12.
I am getting between 58.6mpg and 63.4 without even really trying, I haven’t even used the buttons over the last 4 trips I've made to and from work and the outside temp has been pretty much 2c all the time can't wait for the summer!! then I can see the MPG rising even more.

I'm also getting much better mileage with V12, BUT it's been ~20-25F warmer outside, so I can't directly compare.

V12 gives a lot more assist at the expense of more battery cycling so who knows how that will work out in the long run.

Cold here but I managed 75mpg toady on the drive down to Birmingham with A123 pack and 1 click of assist, giving 10A of assist for 3 hours solid. Had I used a bit more aggresive manual control through birmingham might have done a bit better as pack was probably only down to about 40% soc when we arrived.

Yes I am mistaking the two and thanks for the correction.

Not quite sure what the rasberry PI will do as the car will presumably be off when sat outside so IMAC&C won't be operating. Even if it was on there isn't anything useful about the car status in the data to log on the MOTA line. Soc and battery voltage etc are not on that line.

I will review more of the threads. Thanks for the help.
