Default Newbie HCH 1 Owner.

Was very impressed with my Friend's HCH 1. The comfort and Fuel efficiency were excellent.

So finally took the plunge and bought a 2005 model HCH1 with 39.5k on the clock. Been easily the most comfortable car I have had. Though not the most fuel efficient...

Have been lurking in this forum (and others) reading a lot about HCH1, MIMA, LB, IMAC&C, etc.

After the first 50 miles, its now become kinda easy to get into lean burn!

Told my friend about lean burn which he did not know for the past 18 months and 12k miles... He did 69.7 over 80 miles!

So that was some motivation for me to give LB a go... got 65mpg over 125 miles.

Doing over 70+ in 10 mile journeys is doable with a little effort. But now thinking how to do it over a tankful....

Well I can let you have an IMAC&C pcb/software for the HCH1 for £65 inc p&p or I can build you a complete unit for £130 inc p&p.
I'll fit it for you here for an extra £20 on top.

IMAC&C is a good tool.

IMAC&C + OBDIIC&C is a great tool. Worth every penny.

Sam, you are preaching to the choir...

Earlier my civic wish list had the:
* Mains charger
* Engine Block heater

But now its the IMA C&C followed by the OBD2 C&C.

My friend who also has a HCH1 has a bit of electronics capabilities. So fancying a go at getting the PCB & s/w for the IMA C&C.

No idea as to what other bits are required if we decide to do it ourselves.

Nice parts list all from digikey so it can be purchased all in one go... I might order an extra one of the buttons or two "just in case" (I got a bad one and had to replace it). The only cost 26 cents each anyway.

Note: you only need ONE of the cases... flanged or unflanged are your choices (I'd recommend the flanged one, you can always cut the flanges off if you decide you don't need them).

Otherwise, all you need is a soldering iron, solder, and desoldering braid.
