Hi all, I bought my Insight having been repaired and the tune up, and vacuum hose routing sticker from under the hood is missing. I was hoping someone would be so kind as to take a picture of theirs so I can have it for reference. I would really appreciate it. If you're feeling altruistic please email me the photo to wmarkhenderson@gmail.com
Thanks so much!
Mark

Can anyone point me to where there is a diagram of the vacuum lines? Where can I tap in for vacuum? I searched the service manual Nd could not find anything.

I don't have a diagram, but if you are hooking into the vacuum line system, I used the line going from the FPR to the intake manifold to hook up my "antique" boost gauge. (Shows vacuum and boost)

from your sig, I assume you have a cvt. So here is the vacuum hose diagram for CVT. And i'd use the FPR vacuum hose too like willie said. Its easiest to access.
Is the fpr the device on the far left, center of the picture?
Does the cap in the center also have normal vacuum at it?
I did the hot air intake mod with a flapper valve from I think an 85 or 86 accord and I am thinking that the flapper system is not working. I tapped into the vacuum at the map sensor line. The accord air cleaner had a vacuum valve that when cold blocked a vacuum port. A T in the line then allowed vacuum to go to the flapper. When the air warms up the sensor opens up and blends the vacuum into the air cleaner and the flapper, with no vacuum, closes.
Any other potential issues with the vacuum valve? When warm, does bleeding the vacuum into the air cleaner cause any air fuel ratio issues? Does this cause a lean fuel problem?

Still looking for a response to my question above. Is regular engine vacuum available at the map sensor line? I tapped in at that point, and the air flapper valve, when warm, presents a slight vacuum leak. What would the symptoms of a small vacuum leak at the map sensor vacuum line be?

Sorry not fam. with the item you are suggesting. (Is that similar to the old school flapper valve on the exhaust system) carb engines. (Thermal)

It is the flapper valve and the sensor from an 86 Honda accord. There is a check valve, then one vac line goes to the flapper and another goes to the flapper valve. When the temp valve is cold it caps off the vac line and pulling the flapper to the hot air position. When the temp valve gets warm it opens the vac line resulting in no vac to pull the flapper open. The vac opening is small, the size of a pin head, and it is possible that the check valve also has a restriction to limit the volume of air.
I drove it once connected and the car was acting funny. I did not notice a high idle, but at stops the auto stop worked and shut off the engine. While cruzing the car seemed way down on power, and a few times the rpms went higher than expected for slight hills. I pulled over and capped the vac line before the temp valve.
With a slight vacuum leak, while cruzing at 40 mph, what would the symptoms be?

to check for the leak take a propane cyl( the 1# burnz o matic looking type) with the nozzle open, but no flame. run it around the vac lines and the flapper diaphram area with the engine running. If you have a leak the engine will rev up some. my bet is the diaphram has a pin hole leak from age
