Bumping this thread again to see if there is any common solution?
I no longer smell any gas in the car but the check engine light comes and goes and it's time for inspection. I did replace the fuel cap with the Auto Zone knock-off brand with no prevail; I remember the Honda one being pricey for a gas cap.
Ran the codes again today and beyond the P1420 I am now also seeing the P1456. I pretty much do all my repairs and curious to know how easy it would be to perform the following if needed?

#2 = Carbon-filled canister that absorbs gas fumes from the tank is saturated with fumes, presumably this means it needs replaced.
#3 and 4 are both electric valves and I believe one is between the gas tank and the carbon canister and the other between the canister and the engine. They work together to control when gasoline fumes are sent to the canister for storage, and when they are sent to the engine to be burned off.

I am going to be selling the car in the next couple months and figured I would finally fix the cause this time versus just resetting the check engine light.
