I know that p1449 has something to do with the battery but "Manufacturer Contrl Auxiliary emission" doesnt sound like it is battery. I just want to make sure.
You were probably looking through the information for a different model vehicle.
ODBII powertrain codes starting with P0 are generic and are typically the same for all vehicles no matter which brand. P1 codes are specific to the model of vehicle they are coming from. Sometimes they match from model to model amongst the same brand but the only way to be sure is to check the service manual for the specific model in question. A quick Google search for P1449 and the description provided suggests this is specific for a BMW 325ci.
This is what I found for 1449 from Honda-Tech:
P1449 Battery Module Overheating
P1449 Battery Cell Overheating
P1449 Battery Module Individual Voltage Input Deviation
P1449 Battery Module Deterioration
P1449 Battery Module Deviation

But when I scan my Insight with Actron scanner I get
p1449 Manufacturer Contrl Auxiliary emission Controls

Don't worry about the description....Your scanner can not display the description that Honda would want to be displayed for P1449. The code is the important part....It indicates a battery problem and you will find tons of info on this forum for P1499 but as a shortcut if your battery is out of warranty or a salvage title, you can contact Ron at hybrid-battery-repair.com Ron also contributes to this forum often so he will probably see your post.
Hope that helps,
