Default Two Keyless remotes don't work. Any fuses I should look for?

Well as my subject says, I have 2 remote for my insight, which I got off of 2 places, and they are for the 2000 insight, which leads me to believe at this point my alarm system is just shut off completely.

Whether that is via bad wiring or a fuse I don't know, and need some help to figure out.

I tried setting the keyless remotes by doing the unlock all doors, put into ignition, press lock button, off and back into igniton, press lock button, x3 with no luck on both of them and didn't even hear them lock period.

Anyone have a pic of where I should be looking for fix this issue, or if theres a potential blown fuse I can look into to fix this issue? Thanks

So it sounds like you bought two differnent FOB's from two different sources, I'm going to assume that at least one of them should be good. Here is the procedure from the service manual, try programing them with this:

TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING
Storing transmitter codes:
The codes of up to three transmitters can be stored into the keyless receiver unit
memory. (A fourth code cannot be stored.)
1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
2. Within 1 to 4 sec, push the transmitter lock or unlock button with the
transmitter aimed at the receiver (control unit).
3. Within 1 to 4 sec, turn the ignition switch OFF.
4. Within 1 to 4 sec, turn the ignition switch ON (II).
5. Within 1 to 4 sec, push the transmitter lock or unlock button with the
transmitter aimed at the receiver (control unit).
6. Within 1 to 4 sec, turn the ignition switch OFF.
7. Within 4 sec, turn the ignition switch ON (II).
8. Within 1 to 4 sec, push the transmitter lock or unlock button with the
transmitter aimed at the receiver (control unit).
9. Within 1 to 4 sec, turn the ignition switch OFF.
10. Within 4 sec, turn the ignition switch ON (II).
11. Within 1 to 4 sec, push the transmitter lock or unlock button with the
transmitter aimed at the receiver (control unit).
12. Confirm you can hear the sound of the door lock actuators. Within 1 to 4 sec,
push the transmitter lock or unlock button again.
13. Within 10 sec, aim the transmitters (up to three) whose codes you want to store
at the receiver, and press the transmitter lock or unlock buttons. Confirm that
you can hear the sound of the door lock actuators after each transmitter code is
stored.
NOTE: It is important to maintain the time limits between the steps.

14. Turn the ignition switch OFF, and pull out the key.
15. Confirm proper operation with the new code(s).

Tips & Warnings
• Perform all steps within five seconds of the previous step to make sure the vehicle enters and remains in remote-programming mode.
• Program all remotes to be used with the vehicle together, including reprogramming any existing remotes that functioned prior to entering remote-programming mode.
• The steps provided are general instructions for programming key fobs for most Honda vehicles. Some vehicles require that the key fobs be programmed by a Honda technician. If the steps provided do not work with your vehicle, consult a Honda dealership for remote programming.

Let us know if this works, if not then we'll have to see what next.

did you check the schematic from the electrical manual for the keyless door locks. I recall you also had some problem with the door lock, did you connect everything back after diagnosis with that issue?

That module behind the coin box is to control the keyless door locks.

you dont have the honda alarm system right? (look for the red led)

check Fuse #22 (under-dash) . This one supplies power to the Keyless doorlock control unit.

I fixed the door lock issue yesterday It was the actuator that was preventing the door lock from manually opening believe it or not.Everything was put back with no issues. The keyless didn't work from before that as well.I have a red led in the center of my dash area near the windshield, is that the alarm system?

How do you access the underdash fush? Is there an issue way to get to it? I tested the module behind the coin box and it worked just fine.

the underdash fuse box is near the top of the clutch pedal. Behind the coin-box you will have a sticker with the fuses and names.

After you remove the "coin box", you will see the fuse box on the driver side "left" firewall(fore and aft)

Just checked the fusebox area and to my dismay my fusebox cover is missing, and some of the fuses do seem damaged so if i'm right it should be the fuses that are messed hopefully . With that said does anyone have a fusebox cover they can take an image of, so I can get an idea of which is which?

EDIT: Found out that the box has no cover and the diagram is on the back of the coin box. with that said I took out fuse 22 and replaced it, and it still doesn't work. So it's not the fuse 22. Any other fuses I should look for pertaining to the alarm system?
