Default "Re-set" IMA

Somewhere in this forum or one of its links, I read: "...to re-set the IMA, pull out the under-dash fuse #18 for 30 seconds, then replace..."

My #18 fuse says "back-up lights"

Any knowledge about this?

Also, has anyone satisfactorily added rear speakers to the factory-provided cut-out spaces behind each seat?

Which Insight is this for? I think the disconnecting the negative battery cable for any length of time will do it for either car. When you start it, it will go into recharging the battery til full.

If its the i2, its 6.5 inch.

Should be the EPS fuse.

BCM Reset - Why the EPS fuse?

Oh, right...It's a 2000. is that called I1? btw, what are the approximate start and end dates for the various generations? VArak said the fuse should be the EPS. I followed his link but it wasn't clear why you would pull the fuse or leave it alone. This car is much more complicated than I ever imagined.

Right. Basically it prevents a power steering error code from being generated in the first place.
