Default Fuel Lines/Gas Tank

Has anyone needed to replace their fuel lines, or remove their gas tank/access the top of it for whatever reason?

My fuel lines are leaking which has drastically reduced my mileage but after reviewing the situation it does not look like it can be done without taking the gas tank off, or at least being able to reach the top of it.

So, any advice?

Check this thread for instructions describing how to access the fuel gauge sending unit on top of the gasoline tank.
