My 2002 Insight has an aftermarket tilt-up sunroof, I think made by the American Sunroof Company. The ASC has gone to a new owner, with no Support Docs on the website.
There are four buttons: open, close, vent, ASC. The ASC button was blinking red.
A google search for "ASC sunroof blinking red" revealed that after a battery disconnect the sunroof has to have a learning cycle of the full travel of the sunroof. Once I did a complete open/close cycle, the ASC button stopped blinking red.
From what I gather, one should be able to touch the ASC button and switch it to green (from red), and then the sunroof will close automatically when the car is shut off. The ASC button may also allow partial opening, if one wanted to do that. With the ASC button lit red, a manual close is required prior to shutting down the car.
I'll post if I get that working, and how I did it.
Just wanted to get this on the forum, in case someone else does a search for "sunroof problem".
Heavy rainstorms yesterday, and no sunroof leaks...which is a good testament to this system.
Cheers,
