I'm trying to talk with a wrecking yard on the phone and I'm trying to see if they have the bulkhead pieces and he has no idea what I'm talking about. He says he's done that job for 20 yrs and never heard the term. What else is it called? I tried describing where it's at and exactly what it looks like including each piece, the lower, upper and two sides as well as exactly where the frame pieces tab weld into the car. The problem is that the car is dismantled and the pieces are "filed"?
Any help as to explain to this guy what I'm talking about would be very helpful. I'm worried he's going to send me sine obscure part.
Thank you!
Sarah
the pic is one for an accord as just an example...

The part between the engine and passenger compartment is called a firewall and the part between the engine and front bumper is called the radiator yoke or radiator support.

Thank you for all your suggestions. After talking with this guy some more I figured out that he is just giving me a hard time. My husband called back and asked for the same thing I did and gave the same explanation as to what a bulkhead is and the guy simply replied, "Oh is that what she was talking about!" Gee. My husband said nothing different. In fact, he only had to say it one way! Gr. I guess I should stick to cooking.

Sarah & Michael,
I sure hope you two will vote for appropriate behavior with your dollars and not do business with this chauvinist. There's a good chance he's just buying the part from the parts exchange network so you could also get it from any other local yard.
P.S. out of curiosity, was this the radiator bulkhead, the firewall bulkhead, or the battery bulkhead behind the seats?

Chisight,
It was the radiator bulkhead. We actually didn't buy it from him and he wanted an arm and a leg for the part anyway. We figured that we can fix part of it and only needed to buy the center pieces. We can buy that for $40 brand new, so I guess we will do that. We are picking up a transmission today for our other Insight.
