Default 2000 Manual Transmission Rebuild

Well the junkyard transmission had a bad synchro so I am going to just rebuild the old one. I believe its original problem was a bad ISB. Here is the parts list I have assembled so far. It includes a new synchro set (I believe all 5 come with one part number?) and new bearings. This is the parts list I have assembled so far. Am I missing anything? What else would you recommend doing while I am in there?

91003-P21-003- Bearing
91006-PHR-003- Bearing

91104-PHR-003- Bearing

I'd also go with new seals and might as well order he Honda MT fluid then too. Are you going to also replace the clutch, throw out bearing, and pressure plate?

I will be putting in a whole new clutch kit and seals. Which should cover the parts you mentioned. I was thinking of using non-honda fluid (possibly red line?).

I love the Redline Superlight in Insight #2. It seems to shift real nice. No data on longevity though of course.

The synchronizers aren't available separate(except 5th it looks like?). I believe what you've linked to is the synchro for 5th gear.

Where would I purchase the other four as a set? I have not seen them on Majestic Honda (unless I am blind)

Thanks

Also is this part #20011-PHR-S00 the whole transmission if I decide to screw it and just buy a new one?

1st and 2nd gear synchros are under "countershaft" and is $219. 3rd and 4th are under "mainshaft" and is $174. 5th gear is under "mainshaft" as you found and is $97.23. There is not much logic in the way the parts are listed. Getting expensive.

With the exception of the ISB and sometimes the 2nd gear syncro, there really isn't much else that goes wrong.. I don't think there is any reason to replace any of the gears or the other syncro's so that is likely added expense.

The ISB, maybe the syncro, the seals, and some oil and that ought to do it honestly

What about tools? I'm also going to need to do the transmission bearings repair soon and have decent homeowner tools but almost nothing auto mechanic specific.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to get a torque wrench, but what else is needed?

The Syncros are doing fine and I'll have to measure the clutch before deciding if it gets replaced.

I keep seeing reference to the seals but I'm not seeing them on the Magestic links that Eli posted, does someone have a link to the seals?

Thanks!

they are there look at transmission housing for 1 axle seal and clutch housing diagrams for other axle shaft seal and input shaft seal. Also if your going to have it apart may want to change the shift lever seal as well.

Thanks Ecfool,
The 1st is #13 here: TRANSMISSION HOUSING part number 91205-PL3-A01 for $6.80.
The next is #8 and #9 here: CLUTCH HOUSING part number 91206-PHR-003 for $6.39 and 91216-PHR-003 for $4.03.
The remaining seal is #7 here: CLUTCH RELEASE part number 78419-S2R-003 for $1.82.

$19.04 total for just the seals.

What about tools needed? Anyone?
