Default How to replace the driver's side motor mount?

Ok, so my 2001 insight has the very bad shudder when backing up on a hill. Since my driveway is a hill this is a problem I've popped the hood, had someone use gas and brake, and watched the driver's motor mount move around.

This is not supposed to be normal I think.

I've had the rear mount replaced (simple) but I am trying to figure out how to replace the driver's side one. It looks like the two bolts on the bottom of the mount can't be gotten to without taking off the whole transmission bracket, then the bolt, then the mount (after removing I guess the airbox, brackets, and what knows else). Is this the case, or is there a way to remove just the mount?

Oh and I assume one can hold the transmission up with a floor jack and block of wood with a jackstand as a backup, correct?
Thanks!
Chris

Hi czah, not sure on your motor mount because I've only had my car a year and haven't had to do that yet. Just wanted to say please post your location on your signiture as sometimes there are members close by that can come help you out.
