Default Strange start/stop

Hello Insighters.
I,ve got a very strange problem with my 2000 M/T. The IMA battery (replaced two years ago) will not go under 17 marks on the meter. When the engine stops at traffic lights etc. the oilpressure and charging lamp comes on, and I have to restart the engine by the key. It will then often start by the 12V starter.
It also refuse to give assist below 17 marks. When it shows 18 or more the system works perfekt, assists and restart at start/stop mode.
I have a good 12 V battery and new ground cables, and have also reset the IMA system. Nothing helps. But when the car sometimes discharge the IMA battery by itself and the marks start rise from 1 mark and climbs up to UNDER 17 marks, it works perfectly. The thing is, when it goes upp to 17 marks the problem starts all over. No failure codes.

Besides that, I love it.

Default Autostop failure

In autostop, the oil and battery lights are supressed, they do not illuminate, when an autostop situation becomes an IMA failure, the oil and battery lights turn on auto restart fails and you have to key out before the 12V starter motor fires up the car, you do not see an IMA light either.

I think your 144V pack is faulty.

Nothing helps. But when the car sometimes discharge the IMA battery by itself and the marks start rise from 1 mark and climbs up to UNDER 17 marks.

This is known as a negative recal, the state of charge gauge is cleared and the IMA system recharges the pack to a certain level, again, frequent instances of this point to a defective 144V pack

I agree. It's possible the IMA light is burned out? It should be throwing a code if you only have 3 bars before a negative recal.

How many bars does it positive recal at?
