Default How to Pull the IMA Plug?

So 3 ago, I had my IMA replaced under warranty at 147k miles when it was about 8 years old. Now, the IMA light and check engine light have come on. It has only been about 3 years, but 60,000 miles have passed, so it is no longer under warranty (3 yrs or 36,000 miles for the replacement). It still runs, but I fear the 12V is being progressively drained. Now I don't have the money to pay for the repair, so does anyone have a guide for how to pull the plug on the IMA to prevent the draining of the 12V battery? I know its not hard but I've been looking for some stepwise instructions about how to go about it. Thanks!

Unless the red 12V battery light is illuminated, the 12V is still being charged. There's no need to take any action until this happens.

You may be able to get some more life out of your pack by doing successive resets.

Pull the negative 12V battery cable, reconnect it then start the car and let it start the automatic charge. Soon, your battery will show full. Shut the engine off, disconnect the negative 12V battery cable again and do the whole process over again. Do this 3-4+ times in a row, or until your battery goes to full within 10 seconds of the reset.
