So with a little bit of judicious coloring the whole content can be changed... all your words are there Eli, but just not easily decernable...

You can reply if you need to, I don't. Let's move on.

From what I understand from grid charging:

1. It can take 2-4 cycles to get pack in good condition. And I have to watch out for PTC resistance. What exactly is PTC resistance, how do I measure it?

2. Cells that keep rising may indicate battery replacement. Good pack will stop rising in voltage and coul even drop after reaching full. While driving SoC can recalibrate which indicates its learning its new voltage.

3. Temperature plays a role in charging, lower the temp, the higher the volts. Once I see volts peack, disconnect charger.

4. SoC doesnt mean anything while charging. Grid charging tries to charge pack to 100%, not 20/20 SoC. 19 bar = 80.1% / 75.1% something like that, 1 bar = 40%.

5. BCM gauge is able to see OEM SoC and other data. Whats the difference btw OBD2 plug and play vs. BCM gauge besides being able to data log. Whats a better choice for monitoring battery SoC during charging?

I charged my pack again for for 4.5 hrs, and here are the results.

1. Started 7pm 168.2
2. 8pm 174.4
3. 8:30 175.2
4. 9pm 175.8
5. 9:30 176.2
6. 10pm 176.5
7. 10:30 176.7
8. 11pm 176.6
9. Stoped at 11:30 176.6

Let it sit for 14 hrs and voltage was 166.7. My question is how often should I grid charge? Every night, every week, monthly from these observation. I'm gonna get a data logger for my charger soon, so I can actually find out where it peaks.
