ah so how do i remove the connector off the medal tab. I saw a little slot but its hard to get anything in there with the space constraint

There is a tab right in there next to where the mounting tab goes in. Put a small flat screwdriver in to release it. Don't remember which way to push it. I took the bracket off the head the first time I did it.

well im in little rock arkansas. But im about to go change the oil and mess with it a bit more. Ill try getting that screwdriver in there again and pulling out the tab. didnt want to do it so much when i didnt know it had to be done.

You can just use your fingers. You can see the tab.. just give it a good look. I swapped a bad O2 sensor out of #3 before the Phoenix meet - I forgot about it until literally 5 minutes before we were going to leave. It took less than that to replace it. Easy as pie.

Got it out finally. Did what someone said and took off cover then put the screw driver in the opposite direction that i was trying an got it off. I looked at the 02 sensor and it looked burned up.

Ill try to get a shot of it when I remove it to put the new one in. It had black soot around the little part that sticks into the pipes.
