Wow! did I get hosed. Long story made short. I was having battery problems(replacement, 2 yrs old) like everyone else. I grid charged the battery eliminated all the codes and the car was great for about two months. Then I pulled in the driveway one day, after getting 74 mpg's my best every, and turned off the ignition and the dome light was barely lite. I tried to start the car and nothing!!! No dash lights no turnover, NOTHING!!! So, out comes the battery tester and the ommeter. The regular battery is fine but the hybrid is dead. Couldn't bypass it to make the car run. Nothing!!! So, i figure my hybrid batt is fried. There is no charge at the terminals so I pulled it out to maybe do a rebalance and recondition the cells. I remove the junction board( the circuit breaker board attached to the batt) and get a rude awakening shock from the batt. Thankfully i am not dead and neither is the batt.
Here's where it gets interesting. I start testing with the ommeter and there is a little component under the circuit breaker called a condenser, (6 orange brown nodes on it) it isn't even labelled in the service manuel. I go to honda dealer parts dept. And they find the part but can't order it. They call honda tech line and tell me only a service tech can order the part after a full diagnostic is done on the system.
Does anyone have a junction board or condenser for sale?
Any ideas on what I should do next?
Thank you,
Sam

It's the end plate with all of the electronics on the battery.
What exactly makes you think you need a new one, Sam?
Make sure both 100A and 30A(?) fuses are OK.

I hooked up the ommeter to follow the current through the electrical path and it did not continue past the condenser. I did check the fuses but I am going to go thru everthing agian. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT CHECKING THE TERMINALS FOR CURRNT IS NOT COMPLETELY ACCURATE. IF SOMETHING IS WRONG ON THE JUCTION BOARD THE CURRENT WON'T REACH THE OTHER TERMINAL. THE BATTERY CAN STILL BE CHARGED.

There will be no voltage there unless the High Voltage Contactor is engaged.

Are you sure the 12V battery is good? Check the battery leads and earth points under the bonnet
The 12V battery has to be in decent shape, 12V drives the BCM etc and energises the relays and contactors on the Junction board. No 12V power to the IMA system, then the pack will be isolated from the rest of the IMA.
But watch out for the busbars on the junction board, they are live as you have already found out the hard way
As for the small component, I think they are resistors.
Are you aware that the circuit breaker switch in the OFF position, splits the pack in two, one side will be 12 sticks, around 95 volts, and the other side of the remaining 8 sticks, about 65 volts?
The small component he's calling the condensor is a bank of what look to be mylar caps. Capacitors used to be called condensors.
It is unlikely they are bad.
But I agree, make sure the 12V battery is good. If it's below around 10.9V, the HV contactor will fail to engage.
