Any ideas? IMA light just came on. The batteries still charge and the assist kicks in. What I do notice is the battery level stays full, when I pull the fuse it drops back to where the battery levels should be on the IMA.
P1644 = MOTFSA Motor Control Module Signal Malfunction. I'm thinking since you're still getting assist/regen that this is an old code.
P1447 = Battery Module Deterioration. It's normal to have assist/regen with this code.
P0420 = Catalytic Converter Efficiency Below Threshold, a common error.

I forsee a grid charger and/or new battery in your future.

I know...waste 90 dollars on the O2, oh well I suppose. The old one looked toast. I just cleared my maintenance required light (did oil change, honda synthetic blend) and cleared all the codes.
Grid charger work really well? Any sources around here?
Thanks for clarifying. I also threw a P1447 code about 2.5 months ago, so far so good, cleared codes and disconnected 12V battery, so far so good. I'm waiting for my grid charger to be done so hopefully that helps.

Trying to figure out the best route financially...I'd like a BetterBattery just the pricepoint...by the time I'm done I'm paying the same price as the dealership.

For a refurbished Honda battery? Yes, but remember that BetterBattery cells are new. Check out some of the recent threads discussing the longevity of dealer batteries installed in the last few years.
