Why didn't you put this post on your other thread?

i felt i was in wrong area and switched gears from wanting a value/advice to trying to make it last for at least another year. so i figured problems/troubleshooting was the proper area now. since people were both answering my questions and talking to the original post er i was trying to eliminate confusion.

I don't think it matters.

Right, does not matter since there is no pack to provide power. All the Pack is doing now is providing a Junction board so that a circuit is completed to the DC/DC.

It would also be a good idea to get a 12 v battery reader, plugin to the accessory plug to make sure that the 12v is charging. Also if you rev the engine above 4k rpm, the emergency brake and 12v battery light will come on in the dashboard indicating that the DC/DC has shut down do to overpower. If you wait 20 or so secs, both lights will go out since the DC/DC has reset itself.

It becomes a game to see how close you can get to the 4k mark and not go over it.

Thanks Guys, it was a fairly easy fix once you get past the warning stickers about dying-N-stuff

Turn it OFF

The car will run the IMA motor to generate power for the DC-DC converter. This means it will be trickle charging the battery. Your car already shut down the IMA to keep the battery from overheating (ie catching fire) because your battery is bad. By overriding it, you are removing that safety stop.

Leave the switch off. That way it can't trickle the battery.

If there is no battery and this is just a junction board then it doesn't matter because the switch is not attached to anything at all.
