Default Parking light lens in headlight housing

I know this is a long shot, but has anyone ever taken the headlight cover (clear plastic) off to access the inside of the headlight? The little plastic lens that covers the parking light bulb has come off, and is loose inside one of my headlight housings, between the cover and the reflector.

I guess I need to take the cover off, but it looks less than promising, like I could maybe eventually pry it off but perhaps not without doing some damage. The cover has some tabs on it, all around the perimeter, that hook under tabs on the housing. But I think it's also glued in, or sealed with some not-so-weak sealant... Is there any hope for me getting this apart without messing things up?

Someone did just what you desire, while installing a HID I believe. Search is your best source.

I scanned through every thread that has the word "headlight" in it and couldn't find anything...

Thanks for the link. I ended up making a hook out of wire and was able to reach through the back, through the light socket, and hook the lens back into place... It doesn't fit very tight, but at least it's not just hanging there loose.
