Now I'm assuming this is a dead 12v battery issue due to the car suffering from lack of use, only a few 2-3 mile trips in the last 2 months, but here goes anyway in case anybody has any better ideas.
Jumped in the Inisght this morning for an early start & turned the key, dash lights very dim, car would not start. Tried bump starting, ran roughly for a few seconds, IMA, EPS lights on dash, all dash illumination very dim, then died. Tried again, the same issue. I had to jump in the wifes car so no time to explore further.

That's a relief, I thought it would be, poor little thing not getting used enough now I cycle to work on a daily basis, the 12v just sits there getting depleted..

You have to realize that the 12V battery doesn't receive that much amperage from the IMA system all the time. At very low rpm and idle stop it is actually draining from the IMA battery, so therefore, if you aren't driving that much get a trickle charger for the 12V battery.

Definitely a dead 12V - I learnt to my peril not to bump start the car, only for everything to fail a mile down the road. I'm keeping a spare now as it's such a simple solution although I'm informed Honda in the UK no longer stock them.

After charging for a few hours last night the car was fine, so I'll be fitting a CTEK ( MXS 3.6) battery conditioner today to keep the car on trickle.

If you are not using the car at least once a week you should consider an IMA grid charger for your shortly to be fitted BB. I don't sell them so you have to make your own or get one from Mike.

I do have one of Artric ones, not sure how often I ought to charge the batter battery though.

I just read that a BetterBattery owner is already experiencing recals. That seems awfully soon to be experiencing such problems. To avoid cell imbalance problems that could lead to recals, I think I would be balance charging monthly if I was not driving my car every few days.
