I bought 4 kits. I did like 6 inches on each lines on both sides. In my case, all the end of lines were faded. Clean well with alcohol before.
Wow. Ok, I think I'll focus on the outside border and if I have enough left, do at least one line and see if this makes a difference. If that improves things, then I'll order some more kits.
Go with the Frost Fighter Clear View defrost kit....
I took advantage of the weather yesterday in NH and scraped of my 'defrost repair line' attempts and installed the Frost Fighter Clear View replacement kit. Used it numerous times on my way into work today....works like a champ!!!! It is somewhat time consuming and you need some patience but for <$50 (went with full 16 grid line kit), it is well worth it. I would also say to read the directions several times before starting the project. Hope this helps someone.

Thanks for the tip. This definitely sounds promising. GasSipr, three questions:
1. Are you still happy with it?
2. Did you completely remove all evidence of the original Honda lines before installing this? If not, then . . .
3. Do these replacement lines line up perfectly on top of the original ones?
Just trying to figure out if I would end up with the look of double lines.
Any chance you could take some pictures of your back window?
The paint is conductive & relies on direct contact to the rear screen elements to get electrical continuity
Don't forget that with the conductive paint repair you need to lightly sand the coating off of the line where you are making the repair so that way you are getting to the conductive surface of the element and not painting over the non-conductive coating. I have a failure in my rear defroster wires to where only the bottom two strips on the upper rear glass work, the smaller rear glass works okay. I just haven't bothered fixing mine.
1. Are you still happy with it?
Yes, very much so. Obviously it will not eliminate the need to scrape excessive snow off of the window but it more than does the intended job of a rear defroster element.
2. Did you completely remove all evidence of the original Honda lines before installing this? If not, then . . .
No, I did not. Due to the numerous open circuits found during troubleshooting (the vast majority of lines to include both side 'rail' areas)...all that I had to do was to remove my unsuccessful fixes. Just a note, I did not repair anything on the lower glass. I think your situation may require you to make some measurements (continuity or lack thereof and voltage or the lack thereof) to determine your course of action.
3. Do these replacement lines line up perfectly on top of the original ones?
No they do not. Since I was at a point of having no grid lines being a continuous line with no breaks this did not matter; think it might have severely deteriorated with 10+yrs of FL sun.
Just trying to figure out if I would end up with the look of double lines.
I was not super concerned with that look. At a shop repair cost approaching 20 times the cost of the kit...function was my target.
Any chance you could take some pictures of your back window?
I will do my best. Think I may have done so during install and first use and will try to put them up within 24hrs.
Hope this helps. Let me know if any more Q's arise...
