IMA Battery Not Charging

HELP. I have a year 2000 with a brand new factory IMA battery pack that for no apparent reason is not fully charging when the brakes are applied during de-acceleration. The charging light used to show 100% charging rate while braking and IN GEAR. I could also feel the charging current kick in, providing a braking sensation, when de-accelerating. Now I feel no braking sensation from the electric motor and the charging gauge only goes to about a 45% charging rate max. This happened instantaneously. Any ideas? I'm a newbie; only owned the car for 9 months. It has 110K miles.

Remove 12 volt battery ground, count to ten slowly, replace ground.
Or do MDM reset, use Google search in upper left of this website.

If it is happening only occasionally, that is normal. My cars do that too for no apparent reason for 4-5 minutes at a time depending on which gear I am in, outside temps, how full the battery is, etc etc

Also confirm the three ground wires (12 volt, and two under the air filter) are clean and completely intact.

Hey Ratliff, post your location in your signiture block when you get a chance. Is it still not fully regen charging? Or was it a one time kind of thing?

Not sure where you are located, but during hot weather, the computer will limit how much regen it allows.

When it is 100+ in Phoenix, I'm often limited to 5 bars of regen.

Once it cools down (or 1st thing in the morning), I start to get more and more regen until I get a full 20 bars.

I can regen here in Tucson up to 50 (full bars) amps, weather is just as hot as Phoenix. Bat temp can be 120 and it will regen up to 50 amps.

Of course I get an IMA and have to grid charge it back up that night...
