So, let me just get this out on the table to be sure I'm going to head down the "right" path. With my EGR being unplugged I shouldn't need to worry about replacing / fixing that to make those symptoms go away, and trouble shooting parts and pieces that can cause hesitation and herky jerky that aren't my EGR is the place to start... (I.e. coils/plugs/injectors/evap code/ignition switch)

In this particular case my EVAP code troubleshooting procedure, and maybe a coil swap? I have the new CPS today and may try and install it despite the cold, to see if that helps with the second (worse) herky jerky I was experiencing at the High RPMS. Or I may wait until tomorrow when I have access to some jack stands to make my life a little easier.

I have replaced my CPS and am still receiving the P0336 code. I have yet to do the next step of the trouble shooting which is to test the corresponding pins on the ECU plug, because I do not know which pins these are.
I originally read that information in a 2000 Honda insight service manual at Mike's place when we had the New England meet up. If someone could please enlighten me as to which pins I need to check, I would appreciate it.

I looked for the service manual on here, but it seems like the only one I could find was for the 2006 insight and did not have the troubleshooting procedures step by step?

The P0336 seems to be more likely to come up when it's cold, <32F, or when it's raining and really wet. The other day was the first day I noticed it was considerably more jerky in the rain, which makes me think of spark plug wires, but we don't really have spark plug wires? It also, may have just been coincidence that it was more jerky in the rain. I also noticed that when the code is present on my scanguage, the symptoms are considerably worse and it's more jerky, whereas right after I clear the code it all seems to stop happening until the next time when the code comes on, and I never seem to notice any real issues until the code has been turned on.

Thank you in advance to my hero who will look up the next step after the CPS part, in troubleshooting the P0336, Also, if there is "advanced DTC troubleshooting" on here for the 2000 Insight and I just missed it, please tell me I am an idiot and I will go try to find it again.

I'm guessing it's a coil pack, and/or possibly a fuel injector.

Change the plugs to start with if they are old. (Or at least check them)

I now have a multimeter to finish the trouble shooting of my P0336 but I can't remember where the ECM plug is that I'm suppose to be checking, and I can't find where that plug is on here, or in my service manual. I've found the whole ECM but not the particular plug I needed.

I seem to remember unplugging it before to reset it for something but it was so long ago and I don't quite remember. Is there a picture of the plug here somewhere that I just can't find or something?

PS I did indeed find the step by step troubleshooting of the engine codes, but it wasn't in the section I thought it would be in.
