Default Faulty electrical ground repair

While under the car doing an oil change, I found this funky ground wire:

Upon further inspection, I found another one, not quite as funky but not far off:

Old vs. new:

Installed:

The larger ground is 4 AWG and the smaller is 8 AWG. Why Honda arranged it this way I'm not certain. Rather than assume I know better than Honda engineers, I elected not to change the arrangement.

The 8 AWG is some random car-audio amplifier wire with soldered ring terminals and the 4 AWG Radaflex welding cable that I'm also using for my audio system amplifier power. It's from CableYard.com:

RADAFLEX® #4 AWG Black Welding Cable

these are the lugs:

The 4 AWG cable crimps were made with a combination of a hammer and this:

I think I will order some 8 AWG Radaflex to replace what I have now for the sake of consistency. For now, I'll just throw on some split-loom tubing and call it good.
