Default does anyone have fuel damper, part # 16680-PHM-A51 for 2002 CVT, cant find one!!!!

hey guys, my damper, which is just a returnless FPR is bad in my car and Honda has the part on backorder with no future release date. I need to find one, does anyone have one laying around or know of an aftermarket alternative or something? my car is dumping fuel and running horrible, lucky if i can see 39mpg and takes at least 10 minutes of idling when cold with constant revving of the motor before its even somewhat driveable. thanks guys

You have me confused now, why didn't you post this information on your original thread?
Are you positive it is a "returnless" FPR.

well, the old thread had too much going on and wasn't specific, now i know for sure that it is the fpr. i brought it to honda after replacing the fuel pump which was also bad or weak at least which is the only reason the car was running ok apparently except on the highway when trying to get up to speed when it would fall on its face. now with the new pump the car is dumping fuel. it is definitely a returnless fuel system. only a vacuum line, no return fuel. the CVT and MT are different in this respect for some unknown reason. But my local Honda dealership confirmed my theory and then told me the part is unavailable and i did a nationwide search and nobody has one anywhere. if it was only a week or two backorder fine, but their is no release date so i have no idea when ill be able to get my hands on one and i need my car functional now. So im hoping someone can offer some kind of an alternative. anyone?

Check in the wrecking yards. There are many CVT's there.
If it is the FPR, I think that is the first. Trying to remember the first thread, but I think you said you had checked the FP and it was good.?

What kind of pressure are you seeing?
The Banjo bolt can be modified for a fitting so the pressure can be measured.
Fabrication time!

im not sure the pressure myself, i brought it to the dealership after the fuel pump failed to solve the problem and in fact made it a little worse in a different way and the tech said the pump was fine but the damper was bad. so the hunt is on. the car now acts like my mustang did when its fpr ripped the diaphram and started flooding the engine. ive just never had a weak pump and bad fpr at the same time before and didnt know what to make of it till now. now i know for future reference. but i agree, i think i am going to modify that banjo bolt just for future needs if nothing else. i still really need to find a damper though. id even consider a used one if anyone has one laying around.

Have you tried aftermarket yet? I looked on my NAPA Pro site and they list one for the CVT Insight part number 2199080 line code CRB list price of $44.94 my discount cost is $21.52. It shows one in stock at NAPA master distribution point.
