Just picked up my new(05) Insight, I still have my 01. My question is simple,,maybe. Is the IMA battery in my 05 with 90k miles on it covered under warranty if neede? Old owner thought Honda only covered older models under warranty. The battery is just starting to act up. I have a grid charger and will be hooking it up if needed,, I just want to know about coverage if it goes south on me.

I think the extended warranty is only 2000-2004 models; 2005 and 2006 being 80,000 miles. Check out the warranty sticky in the general discussion forum...
Sorry, think you are toast. All research I have is that per Honda Service Bulletin 06-057 2000-2004 insights warranted extended to 10 yrs and 150K miles. However, per Honda Service Bulletin 06-085: For 2002-2006 Honda Vehicles-all warranties mey be extended. Honda district service managers have to pre-approve all warranty extensions. Good Luck in getting that.
