I'll preface this by saying that neither myself nor the old lady pressed and held anything, so the simple explanation is out.
I reset the FCD when I bought the car to see if I could get the average up from the lifetime 50.5, I also reset Trip B when I changed the oil, it's just how I keep track.
She borrowed the car on Sunday and when I got in Monday morning I noticed that Trip B was at only 100 miles down from the 1,800 or so I remember before. Then this morning I notice that my FCD is only at 52, again down from around 1900 or so.
The only thing I can think is that they only go to 2k miles!? That seems unlikely.
Any thoughts?

I have one of the trips for the MPG and mileage of the current oil change. Once I'm beyond 4000 I usually start looking at my records to see how many miles it's been and then I get the Maint required as a confirmation.
I think the segment meter will go over the 2,000 mile limit. Trip A & Trip B will not.

I reset my segment meter all the time to see my mpg going to school/work/etc. It's a lot easier than reaching through the steering wheel for the trip meters with the sucky buttons.
I wonder what they were thinking, limiting the trip meters to 2000 miles... Maybe they could only afford 12 bits (204 for each trip meter so they lopped it off at 2000.
