Had you done a recal before swapping you would have seen that your BB had only 4 bars SOC. The BCM tends to lose track of the BB SOC now and then. It isn't harmful and usually resets itself every now and then.
We never pinned it down, but it seems to happen more with some BCM revisions and less with others. I'm not certain, but it may also learn the battery over time.
I assume you did not swap the BCM/MCM with the battery.
