On your car, it is on the right side of the center console, on the floor in the passenger side footwell.

You check the input shaft bearing by removing the transmission and spinning the input shaft by hand.

It should make a whirring or crunching noise in neutral with the clutch engaged(pedal out).

It's a Honda problem, not necessarily an Insight problem. Your transmission needs to be rebuilt. Sucks.

No biggie. I can rebuild it when it gets a little warmer. Really, on the floor.

That's the spirit!

The transmission overall is easy to remove/replace and work on. There are several threads here detailing it.

The input shaft bearing(ISB) is like a $25 part, but you'll want to replace everything else that needs replacing while you're at it.

Is the stamp for the plugs under the coil packs?
I would get new grounds. They are cheap enough. I've used short tractor or motorcycle ones before. But not worth getting them used. You definitely want them I. Tip top shape. I bought Honda ones for Insight and coated them with liquid plastic. But you should look at the CRZ straps they are better design.

Yes, the A B C or D are visible on the head right next to spark plug holes. (If you are a betting man, bet on B )
