Auto stop not working?

Recently I noticed that Autostop wasn't working on my Insight. My insight has around 600 miles, and it worked before like everytime when I would come to a stop, even stop signs. I'm not sure if this has to do with it, but I added a HID kit a week ago, but autostop still worked then. But now, I hardly even see it using autostop even when I'm on the econ mode. I read in the manual that autostop depends on alot of things, but all the settings are the same as when I bought the car. Not sure what's making it not use autostop.

I would try taking out the fuse that powers the HID set and see if it starts auto-stopping again in a day or two - that would let you know for sure if that caused it. I htink it's entirely possible it is the issue.

(Autostop is the car shutting itself off when your at a stop)
Autostop only works in D (not R or S/L)

Autostop will not work if you have the Climate Control set to Defrost or Defrost/Feet

Autostop will not work if the AC is on but ECON is off (If ECON is on it should Autostop w/ the AC on)


Those are the basic ways to cause auto-stop not to function. Definitely see the dealer if you are experiencing otherwise.
