Question E85 and Insight

I made the mistake to fill up my Insight with E85 fuel instead of E10.
Now the yellow engine light is on.

Am I going to break the engine or can I wait till 50% of the tank and then add SP95?

Thanks all!

The DTC is likely "excess fuel trim". I would think it will be OK once you re-fuel. you may need to cancel the code with a reader after the new fuel is in.

You can always siphon the E85 fuel out.

I just hope I won't damage the engine before refueling...

I tried to empty the tank, but I can't... nothing comes out... I tried with a long tube and it doesn't work...

Any other ideas?

Glad to hear that turned out ok. I know e85 was a big deal a few years ago, but I never saw any stations in my state. It wasnt til recently I saw the ultra low sulfur diesel fuel at a truck stop 2 weeks ago.

I thought of both of those before my i2. Did I need e85 or diesel as the new diesels take the ultra low stuff and all other stations I know of and used for my previous diesel offers the dirty stuff only.
