Default Passenger seat is rattling?

I've had this rattle for a while now, but it's increasingly getting worse. It's coming from the passenger side, front area. I've tried buckling all the seatbelts, but it's not that. I've tried whacking stuff (clearly the most efficient method ) and when I do so, the glovebox will rattle, as will the passenger seat. I'm thinking it's the passenger seat. Anyone want to whack their passenger seat and see if it rattles? haha I just hit it dead center.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing? I saw the post about bringing a car to the dealer for rattles, so I'm really hesitant to do that. Any screws that you think I should try tightening?

Seats are usually held down by 4 bolts to the body of the car (much like a chair). After finishing the cardio boxing session with your seat, grab it and attempt to wiggle it (moving it side to side and back and forth). If it wiggles, then one of the bolts is not secure. You can also manaully inspect the bolts to see if they are tight.

Could be something loose under the seat as well (the lever to move the seat back and forth, etc.)

I haven't noticed a rattle coming from the passenger seat, I have ~10900 miles.

If it continues to bother you, at the next service interval, have the dealer take the car for a test drive and see if they can locate the noise.

If you haven't tried yet, buckle the seat belts and drive around. I tuck them into the seats. Since you have the EX as well make sure the USB connector in the arm rest is hooked up or stored in it's holder. The last spot of rattle on my car as funny as it sounds is actually the trunk cover. Make sure it's pulled over vs open and unused.

I *think* I fixed it. The seat was pushed all the way back. I moved it up a notch, and it seems to have stopped.

Thumbs up

+1
I've had the seats stop between (or not all the way in) the detentes and sure enough they'll rattle - just give it a little slide back or forth and it "clicks" into a locked position and the rattle stops

My son noticed that my passenger seat on my 2010 Insight is actually loose. When he is sitting in it he can get it to rock a little if he pushes off the floor with his feet. I haven't taken it back to the dealer yet but will be soon. You might have a loose seat too??

For me, it was definitely that the seat wasn't latched in all the way. My rattle is gone.
