Default Gas pedal vibration

I think I may have hit one too many potholes.
Over the past week, I started noticing that when I accelerate there is a slight vibration of the gas pedal. Maybe this has always been the case, and I'm just noticing it now?
Anyway, I googled this and found a bunch of other people with other cars asking the same question. Its sort of like the buzz of an electric razor, but it's very slight.
Anyone else experiencing this? Do you think I just knocked the car out of alignment?

In my old cars alignment problems show up at the stirring wheel where you noticed the vibrations. Other things will vibrate more than the gas pedal will and you will feel it at higher speeds without needing to accelerate.

The buzzing might be the electric motor, as it gets colder dense air does transmit more sound. Have a listen and how does the virbation feel liek a small eletric razor on yoru shoe?

Haha, it's really hard to describe, but if you were experiencing it, you would know.

Maybe the electric motor is causing a bit more vibration because it's cold? Or maybe the louder noise could be causing it? I'm not hearing any difference in noise though.

I drove my car around having parked outside for a number of days, and things do seem more stiff, but they loosen up after a bit fo driving but the shocks seem pretty stiff still, I can see how that combined with higher PSI on the tires could lead to a lot more transmission of road vibrations to the car..

If you think it's an alignment problem you can try a test, drive the car with no hands on the stirring wheel straight for about 30 yards at some reasonable and safe speed parallel to the side walk, if it pulls to one side slightly or another then you have alignment problems.

If there is a lot of wobble from one side of the car check to see if the lead weights are still on your tires and if the alloys are still in good shape.

Otherwise I'm out of ideas, if you find out do let us know.. Good luck..

Stupid question...

Isn't the I2 "fly by wire"? Is there any real linkage connected to the gas pedal?

The pedal will still be mounted to something solid to be a lever and to give you the feedback it does it also pushes or pulls against something else.. So any kind of vibration on the frame in practice could be transferred to the pedal.
