I noticed this a few times..but it refuses to go away after I installed a subwoofer in my 2010 insight...I took it back to the installer and he double checked all the connections...they are proper and as should be.
I read the manual and turns out the error code is due to my pulling out my Iphone w/o disconnecting the USB first...seems to me I found a way to 'reboot' the USB connection...the problem should go away...
i had min replace due to bad usb device. mine did that for a while. it may develop. none the less turn the iphone or itouch or whatever off and reboot. then re connect with radio off. then press aux button for best outcome.

You said in ur post...'REBOOT'...reboot what exactly and how? Thanks for your input though. It definitely helped!
ok reboot: turn off the iphone itouch or whatever is connected.
no data means that the usb device is not recognizing any audio files in the device. it recognizes there is something plugged in but has no files that are able to be played.
i work for honda. and they will tell you the same thing i am sure. do you have other devices that work?

I fooled with mines with a thumb drive and got the same error fo rnot having any files on the stick. With other files it says they are unplayable.
It seemed to read it as soom as you turn on the key. My drive has an led in it and it starts right away.
So, Id load some mp3s, itunes, etc to it and plug your ithing in while the device is running, then turn on your car to accessory and tiun on your head unit.

Well..good news and bad news...found the error...it was caused by the guy who installed my subwoofer drilling right through the damn USB box....metal plate..circuit board and all...
Cost me a bunch of cash to have it diagnosed...the installer paid for it all and will pay me for the replacement part as well.
Which brings me to this q:
Does the USB box (located under the armrest console) do nething else at all..or does it just control the USB? I have a choice of getting that part ordered..or getting a completely new radio installed. Upto $375(cost of replacement part)...I know which way I'm leaning...which way would you all lean?
And thank you so much for all you help..this forum has been great!
Sorry dude. Asking questions online and asking god go hand in hand. No reponse means NO. Seems you knew the answer the whole time that they screwed it up. Dont doubt yourself.
Id like to know how installing a sub woofer required drilling a hole through the center arm rest.
Second, Id like to see some photos. Maybe myself, Fuelmiser and a few others went about it the wrong way putting it in the trunk?
FYI, sometimes god or the spriits will help with a technical issue if you ask them, at least they may shoot you a shot or diagram you see in your head.

I will try and send ya some pics of the same...I went with a subwoofer which fits under the driver seat..Kenwood something..Its awesome..I love it...it had a remote..which came with it...which is what went into the centre console..which is why he had to drill a hole thro the bottom of it....
The subwoofer is completely hidden..cant see it at all...all I had to do was remove the covers (both) for the slider on which the driver seat sits...
Would appreciate help ...if you know at all...if the USB box is used for anything else at all?(I frankly doubt it..cos my car runs fine..and so does the Radio..but ya never know) or am I safe in getting rid of it... and getting a brand new radio set up? in case of the latter...any suggestions?
Wow, it fits under the seat and the seat is fully functional? I didnt think enough room existed to put one there. Then again I had bazooka bass tubes and wanted more. I ended up with putting an amp, cap and extra battery in the back under the spare tire and 2 12s. Man,this will rattle the windshield wipers. Great conversation piece. Never mind the great fuel economy. No photos are needed, I know what you are talking about.
I wished i had a manual to tell you for sure. Generally the center area is where aid bag and skid control computers are located. Do you have a check engine light or notice anything else not working?
Although I like my oem radio and the ability to read memory sticks, I want a nav unit. I got a lot of bills to pay before then, but I do know you can get a lot of deals from ebay and those hard up from this economy.
Id use crutchfield and their reviews as a guide. Then get the adapters. So far its my understanding the antenna is the only problem as the oem one is square vs round. One guy used a windshield antenna.
I have my amp set high for sensitivity and use the bass setting to turn it up or down on the radio. It takes a day to get the setting right on the amp.
