Default Check IMA System Light

Mine came on yesterday (~5000 miles). Still seems to drive pretty much normally. Anyone else have the Check IMA System light come on?

The Check IMA System message appeared on the MID during two sequential drive cycles yesterday along with the engine icon and the "IMA" light just above the engine icon light. Today the engine icon light remains lit, but no "IMA" indication.

You are under warranty with the I2, Honda will check it for free and you should be able to get a code from them, let us know which code it pulled, and please fill us in on what they did or what they say about it. It's a bit strange to hear about this so soon, I'm leaning on it being a sensor fluke considering that you are indicating everything is operating normally, but let us know.

Maybe some sort of dirt in your fuel tank? Did you feel any small kicks on the gas pedal?

2 days later and I'm still "holding my breath" waiting for a reply about the IMA light.?????

Default Check IMA System Light fixed

o.k., took the Insight in for its first service (still had 30% oil life, but approaching 1 year) and mentioned the "Check IMA" light had been on and the "Check engine" light remains on, but that the car was driving pretty much normally.

My service advisor said that a pin on the IMA fan connector was pushed back into the connector and thus wasn't making a good connection. I am assuming this fan is in the back under the floor near the battery? He said they "took it apart back there" to find it.

Also listed on the service invoice was a reprogramming of fuel injection.

FYI, in the SF Bay Area of California this A1 service was $95.

I got the first service done for $50 by using a coupon. The dealers should accept the regular oil change coupons and then just adjust for the more expensive oil we need.
