Default Rubber molding on top of car comes off often.

Has any one else had this problem?

The long rubber molding that is on both sides of the cars roof above the doors comes off all the time. It seems it is a simple slide hook device that keeps it in place but I find myself placing it in the grooves over and over again after normal driving. I'm afraid it will fly off one day and I will have to pay $400 to replace it.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Is the molding that important (i.e. weather stripping)?

Here are a couple of threads that discuss your problem.

I need to update my thread, but Honda replaced mine under warranty. The design just seems really mickey mouse so I'm going to seek a semi-permanent rubber adhesive. I'm thinking black RTV will honestly do the trick on the bottom.
