Default Initial break click sound after startup

I don't know if this has been covered. But Does anyone else hear a click on the first brake when they first start up from the engine? It's always that first brake and it no longer clicks after that.

Does anyone have a clue what it may be?

I've heard the same thing from the front passenger's side (if you are talking about a slight single 'tick'). I'm guessing it is the ABS Modulator control unit located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Without having someone listen while the brake is being pressed it would hard to know for sure.

That must be it, the ABS Modulator Control Unit. So is it normal for it to tick every time on the first initial brake?

I'd imagine it is, from driving in the ice and snow this last winter I know everything works great. The Service Manual doesn't show any views of the unit's internals. My understanding is that the ABS has valves and actuators so the sound would just be the system coming up to pressure (a guess).
