Radio Code Not Working

Hey guys,
I lost my manuals so I called American Honda twice to confirm the radio code. Well the code they are giving me is not working. Is there a special way you have to input the code on the radio? PLEASE HELP!

When the radio comes on after a power interruption, the word "ENTER CODE" will show in the frequency display. Use the preset buttons to enter the code. If you make a mistake entering the code, do not start over; complete the sequence, then enter the correct code. When the code is entered correctly, the radio will start playing. You have 10 tries to enter the correct code. If you are unsuccessful in 10 attempts, you must then leave the system on for 1 hour before trying again.

How does one lose the car manuals? Did you get the codes you needed? Interesting avatar.

I neglected to keep the manuals in the glove box and they were left outside. Well it rained and sure enough mold got the best of them lol. I got the code I need so I'll leave the system on for an hour today and see if that works. Thanks
